Two months ago while I was sitting eating lunch I got this horrible headache. After a week of this constant headache I went to the doctor who ordere an mri. The mri is was okay except it showed that I had a small venous angioma which the neurologist told me was nothing to worry about and it was not causing my headache. The day after that my vision went blurry and the headache was worse so they put me in the hosptial for three days running more mri's, mra, mrv and did a spinal tap on me. In the end they said everything was fine and told me I just had a headache. Since then I have developed dizzy episodes where I feel like I am going to pass out. Today I am very dizzy but my head is not hurting. I went to and ENT specialist and he told me that my test showed that I have a central balance disorder that I probably caused by something neurological like a migraine. The thing I am worried about it I wake up in the night with my arm asleep about every night. I remember one night I woke up and it felt like my arm was a weight and it was hard to left but after a few minutes it got back to normal. I have tingling in my arms and hands but I figured it was just carpul tunnel since I work on the computer all day and have for 8 years now. Any suggestions? I have an appt. Nov. 3 with a different neurologist that the ENT specialist is sending me to for my balance disorder. I hope everyone is doing well. Oh just some info on me. I am a 25 year old with a 18 month old wonderful boy named Colin. I have been married for over three years now and I live in Northern Mississippi.

Hey Andrea Jane

Welcome to the board! I'm so sorry for all u'r going thru and hope u'r upcoming appt will be insightful. U do seem to have migraine type symptoms, but i wouldn't fully stop on that until u'r neuro has thoroughly examined u and given u his opinion. As i'm sure u'r aware, all these symptoms to seem a bit ms'ish, but many things mimic ms, including migraine. I did some basic research on venous angiomas and came up with the following links. It lists headaches and dizziness as symptoms. Take a look at these and see what u think.

By the way....i'm in Mississippi too! I"m down south of u in Wayne county. Nice to have u here!

The Neurologist I saw and my gp told me that the venous angioma generally cause no symptons. My gp told me that I just had a chemical imbalance. I forgot to metion that this all started two months ago with my headache but I got to thinking about two weeks before the headache started I got costchohondritis in my chest muscles and was on predisone for a week. When this first happened I was giving my son a bath and I could feel my chest muscles pulling everytime I moved my arms then I had a panic attack and thought I was going to pass out then. I have had chest x-rays and two ekg's to rule out heart problems. Two weeks after that happened is when I got the headache. I also had and attack as I call it while I was in the hospital and they just blew it off like it was nothing. Now this week I have been constantly dizzy and feeling like I could pass out any minute but the strange thing is that my head does not hurt. I noticed last night when I went to bed that I have muscle spasms in my left arm and one of my legs. The docs did a spinal tap on me but I read that sometimes ms does not show up on those for awhile. All of the docs I have seen so far except for the ENT have been in Tupelo. My ENT is in Memphis and he is sending me to a neurologist up in Memphis. So I am hoping to get some answers soon.

I posted to your other question about dizziness, not looking at this post, and realizing that you have not been dx with MS......it is a difficult dx to make, and several tests need to be done to eliminate other problems before settling with a dx of MS.  So there is no real indication that u have MS, as MS mimics so many other disorders....

So good luck in finding out what is going on, theyll find out, and hopefully it is not anything really serious...

Regards

Gary
