I have 2 problems . Thoracic #4 is herniated. After much research, I've learned that the same symptoms mimic MS pains! A lot of right sided low rib pain. it is terrible; burning & sore spots on the ribs. I read some about the "MS HUG". It is suppose to feel like a tight band around the waist, under breast, but only hurts 1/2 way around (like one side of the rib cage). I have an appointment tomorrow with an Orthopedic surgeon. I hope I get an answere. My pain is unbearable. Deep burning pain. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Please help ASAP. Thank You- by the way... does this have a spell check? my spelling is terrible! Please reply now. Another night with pain.

Aaahhh I understand now.  You have a HERNIATED thoracic disk.  Obviously you can have more than one thing going on here.  You could have the back problem and MS.  That could complicate things a bit.  I would still suggest that you go see an new neurologist and be re-evaluated for MS.  Consider it a second opinion to the diagnosis from six years ago.

Again, good luck and keep us posted.
