Axonal and demyelinating.
Hello my name is Dan...I usually lurk around and occasionally post in the depression forum (I've had/have clinical depression for most of my life, I'm now 45)
I thought I would post here in hopes of getting some suggestions for my mother.
I feel terrible for her and I want to do everything I can to make her comfortable...My mom is 75 and I know she has been blessed with good health until now, however I want her to suffer as little as possible and I will do everything within my power to she that she doesn't.
We (my sisters and brothers and I) noticed our mothers health steadily failing these past few years and contributed this decline mainly to depression...My aunt passed away in 2004 and she was my mothers best friend and only sibling here in the states...these last few moth my mother would twitch and have muscle spasms especially in the morning, she has been bent over with back pain and her legs hurt so bad that she will just sit and cry.
Her Neurologist has her on Lyrica, Celebrex, Colanaspan and she has to have a shot once a month.
Anyway I know most of you are much young and trying to live your best with MS...but I was wondering if any of you have any experience with seniors having these health problems? what can we all do to help and support our mother?
We are going to meet with my mothers Neurologist on the 27th of this month, me and my two little sisters....we want to find out how bad my mothers condition is.
