confused  Hi everyone,
After a nice, somewhat calm winter, I'm Back! I've had about 5 months of very few bothersome symptoms and now it seems as if the Monster is rearing it's ugly head again.
To recap: I don't have an official dx but went to neuro this past Aug.- had brain MRI w/contrast (no lesions), EMG - fine except for "severe carpel tunnel in rt. hand, mild in left" (tingly, weak but no pain) Good EEG. But for going on 6 years have been off balance at times, nerve pain, blurry vision, fatigue, tingly hands and feet recently whole leg falling asleep, loss of concentration, poor short-term memory.
I've had a reprieve from most of this for months except now noticing my balance is slightly off again, some blurry vision back as well as leg cramps. But last night when I was at work - ( I walk alot,) I had this excrutiating pain in my left calf that lasted for a few seconds then subsided. It felt like a leg cramp that was starting but I felt my muscle and it wasn't tight or hard. It last for maybe 3 seconds then goes away, comes back whenever - sometimes about every five minutes. Does anyone have bad leg pain out of nowhere?
It's getting warmer on the east coast but not too bad. The heat really brings out all this for me. I hope this isn't an indication of how the summer's going to be. Holy Cow!

Oh, and how can I forget?....This MS HUG.....for you gals who've had kids, does it sort of feel tight like a Braxton Hicks contraction? That's what it reminds me of. Very uncomfortable and a little hard to breathe.

Thanks for your insight!

I also live on the East coast and have noticed an increase in my symptoms, even though the heat is just starting here. If you are heat sensitive it doesn't take much! My MS hugs occur at the slightest temperature change. Sounds like you may have some spasticity starting in your legs and like you may need to head back to the neuro again so they can see what's going on and maybe get that dx. There are people, a rare few, who will never have a lesion show up on an MRI and can still get dx properly with MS. The history and the nerve damage needs to be evident, etc. I have had RRMS for 18 yrs. and it can be a long battle for a dx. Good luck and keep us posted !!! smilewinkgrin
