While asleep, I was awakened to the sensation that my DH was giving me a bear hug around my waist and below my breastbone.  He had already left for work.  This only happened once about a month ago and it was scary.  Was this an MS hug?  Are these hugs always MS or could it be something else?  Thanks.

I see that you are on the lyme board. I read that you have muscle twitches.  MS hug is basically a muscle spasm.  Don't start worrying that you have MS because you have experienced this.  Obviously if you have concerns that you may have something in addition to lyme, then you may want to see a neurologist.  Remember that MS and lyme share many symptoms.  Good luck.  Hopefully this is a symptom of lyme and will respond to treatment.
