I have not had any experience with decadron, only solumedrol. I have heard that this is a very similar drug. It is a steroid and it is used to reduce inflammation. It is used in several autoimmune disorders as well as a treatment in cancers to offset the inflammation associated with chemo and the cancer itself. It is suppose to be very good for spinal cord and brain inflammation.
Since it is a steroid the side effects are very similar to solumedrol and increase appetite is one of them.
