Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has ever had a burning and squeezing feeling in their upper abdomen? Sometimes it feels like a burning feeling than it switches to a squeezing feeling. I almost feel like I ate a gigantic meal, which I did not. Sometimes I get a very tender spot on my side that hurts even when I touch it...just crazy I say...;)

Beannie...not dx...still in limbo land... confused

Even though this post was posted in 2009, I was wondering if there is a way to see the responses to this question. I myself have the exact same symptoms and doctors have not been much help to me. I live with these symptoms most of the time and have for about a year now and it is getting worse.

I'm not a doctor, nor a person with MS but I do get that feelings when I have swollen lymph nodes in my stomach. Perhaps that could be it.

Squeezing feeling...could be what is called a MS hug.  Just guessing though.

An MS hug feels like a band, or girdle-like, sensation tightening around your waist or chest. People sometimes describe it as annoying.  Ive never heard of people saying it gives a burning sensation though.

It is a result of muscles holding our ribs together located between each rib that goes into a spasm.
