Hi, okay I am not diagnosed but had a question about vision. Today I had this very strange thing happen to me. I was cleaning a mirror and all of a sudden in my right eye, in my perifial vision it looked like waves or rippling water. I really dont know how to explain it, only lasted about 2 minutes or so but scared the crap out of me. I thought I was having a stroke...yikes. Don't know if anyone has ever had anything like that or not. I am going to make an appt with an opthamologist tomorrow.....hopefully its nothing serious. Thanks...Beannie

Hi Beannie,

Just a may have had a migraine. You can have optical effects (auras) with migraines and you can even have just the aura with no pain. The first time it happened to me I had the same reaction you did....I saw an opthalmologist and he just laughed and said it was a migraine aura.

Of course you should get checked out by a doctor and I'm glad you're planning to see one. I do hope it's something benign!
