I started having symptoms many years ago like:
1. Forgetting conversations I just had
2. Not just remembering were I parked my car but if I even drove to work.
3. Having no clue where I was driving or where I was including what state.
4. Completely forgetting a routine I did daily for years and having to reteach myself.
5. Lossing the ability to throw balls, darts, horseshoes
about 18 months ago I began having I began having cognitive problems with memory and math (I have a degree in finance) MRI showed no signs but I was diagnosed with unspecified dementia. this seems to have resolved itself so far.
12 months ago I started having like electrical charges going down my back to my legs. I have been having involuntary muscle contractions from my feet to my butt that has not gone away. Foot supination has also occured.
Recently I have had stomach problems. The Gastro Doc thinks my mind my be telling my body that I may need to take a dump but it's not there. Does that make since?
Let me here some opinions, could I have MS? I was told there was signs with scans and MRI's.

Hi 32nd Degree,

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. There are veteran members here on this forum that can better respond to your MS inquiry.

You symptoms sound very similar to what I have been experiencing with Lyme Disease. I have neurological lyme and have been dealing with significant cognitive issues this past year. I work in IT and struggle to do my job most days because my brain doesn't seem to be able to handle complex logic very well. I have been treated for over three months with antibiotics and have still not recovered. Last year I ended up in the hospital with gastrointestinal problems. My digestive system just stopped... Not good. I now experience neuropathy (numbness) over most of my body.
I also experience the electric feeling that you describe in my lower back that radiates down my legs and throughout my body. Mine feels more like a dripping surge of adreneline.

I had a lumbar puncture done recently that came back positive for MS, but I have no lesions on my MRI's. I know that I have lyme disease and am now concerned that the infection may have triggered MS. I recommend that you see a doctor right away to get a proper diagnosis.

Hope you find some relief and answers soon.

Hi there , hope u are feeling better. It becomes awkward and sometimes dangerous to suggest what you may or may not have, as it is common for someone to read what others have said, and then take it to heart, when all along, your final dx is no where near what has been suggested to you as a possible cause for your health issues.

You should keep the communication links opne with your doctors, and determine from them as to what they think, what they are going to do next, etc.

Keep a journal of your health issues, so that when you do go see your doctor, you have an accurate account of what happened, how you were feeling, and when.

Good luck with this
