  Hi everyone
Haven't been here for a bit but would like to talk to Gretchen
I know I should be pleased that they are saying no to MS, but I can't seem to move past it. And I keep thinking about what you said about not having enough lesions to diagnosis. The report said the lesions could be from a previous accident or because of age. My doctor even says I don't fit the fibro symptoms and I wonder if I'm being railroaded into it. I just got some blood work results that show my vitamin d level is very low and I have mild inflamation. They asked me to start taking 4000 ui a day and have another blood test done to see if its come up. I started taking the vitamin d as soon as I got home and went for the test 2 weeks later... does it take awhile to get in your system?? Nothing has changed with my symptoms. Still have wobbly legs, the tremors are worse. Every night when I go to bed I'm having this reallly deep burning pain in my left thigh (while laying on my back) and it goes very numb from the knee to the hip and sometimes a bit higher.... it feels like my leg is like a brick.. It wakes me up all the time, and sometimes many times a night. Sometimes when I roll over off of my back it goes away, but sometimes when I move in that state it feels like the muscle is ripping...omg it hurts so bad... and am now sometimes having it during the day.. just the burning pain tho thank god. Am going to see a rhuematologist on the 15th of October and my doctor says if nothing is found there we can redo some testing in 6 months. He told me that the MS doctor said he " doesn't think" I have MS... but he told me definatley not... this is why I'm still questioning it.. and the low vitamin d level too
Scared to death about this... would love to hear your thoughts Gretchen
Thank you so much

Hey Abbey,
Be sure to keep all your test results and MRI copies in a notebook.  You could add to that a few (non-emotional) notes as to your symptoms and the time when they occured.
I would want a definitive answer to why you have 3 or 4 white matter lesions on your brain.  Do you have a history of migraines? Did you ever hit your head or receive a concussion?  Your symptoms could be MS.  Your symptoms could be something else however.  The whole description of your leg being numb and then sometimes better depending upon your position sleeping sounds more like a pinched nerve.  What with all your back/disc problems, diagnosis is going to be complicated.
Certainly the D3 will help.  I take 4,000 IU a day.  So do my children.  The D3 has really helped me.  If your levels don't come up on your next blood test, ask the doctors to be very aggressive.  You can take much higher doses.  You can also get some sun everday.  Get as much of your skin exposed to the sun for 15 minutes as you can (without sunscreen).  Just be careful not to burn.  There is no sense in adding skin cancer to the mix.
If you aren't better in 6 months, I would ask to revisit MS.  Meanwhile, try to relax and be positive.  Exercise as much as you can however you can.  Eat the very best foods you can.  Take your D3 and get plenty of rest.  You are free to email me if you want.  I am always available.

I have no lesions on my soul and so I will live with no limits.
