Soooo..Here is my little Christmas Miracle: It has been 4 years since my Diagnoses and 4 years of unbearable at times left leg pain. I also have terible pain in both hips and also my back. I knew i had foot drop and also, my foot would turn in when i was walking, throwing my balance off and literally makes me crazy. I do use a cane also. I have been searching for relief all these years. I do botox injections for the tone and spasticity right now..i've tried just about every drug..PT..yada, yada, yada. My last visit to PT was to trial The Bioness system for footdrop which of course didnt work either..My Therapist suggested an Ankle/Foot Orthotic (AFO) so i thought "what the Hell" might as well give it a try. So i made the Appt.. They made a mold of my foot. They made the brace for me and guess what? OMG..I have been wearing it for the past week and my pain is gone...well, just about...My hips feel leg feels back pain is better..the heaviness in my leg is pretty much gone and i am walking so well. My body doesnt seem so off balance..and stiff.. I cannot believe it...To me this is a Miracle.. I was crying yesterday b/c my leg almost felt like it used to be before this diagnoses. I am also angry though b/c something so would think these neuro's would suggest this right off the bat...But NOOOOOOOOOO..LOL. OHHH..And also, one other perk with this...and it sounds crazy but my bladder issues have subsided alot . Last 2 nights i slept though the night without getting up 3 times to pee, It's so weird but i swear. I wanted to share with you all because my struggle with this has been a long road and if it helps one person...It was worth it...................ahhhh, RELIEF...I hope it lasts...

Wow!!!  That's crazy!!  So maybe you were compenstating for the foot/drop with your whole leg and back?  It makes sense really.  I have limped for whatever reason and it really does take it out of you.  I am so glad you found relief in such a simple fix!!!
I am glad you posted this.

Hey G,
It is crazy, isn't it...And the bladder thing too...I was definitely compensating....I knew that, but what else can you do if you want to walk, right? All the times i went to therapy too...i am so glad i found this pain doctor (the botox doc) and he suggested the Bioness that led me to this therapist. I actually asked the neuro at one point for a script for a brace, but was to proud to go and get one...and the neuro said pretty much ok, but it won't really do anything for me...what a nit wit..I'm just glad i did....I'm so excited and going to try and strengthen this leg now that my tone is reduced and hopefully have more success. I will keep everyone posted.
Love you. Hope all is well with you and your family

Had what I thought was siatica pain, across my lower back and down each leg. Pains jumped around and I tried Voltaren cream. Noticed my lft foot drop was alarming to say the least. I bought an ankle support and used that to tie my runner at a walking angle. This is working pretty well but my balance is out of control now. Had to buy a second cane due to my body being twisted to one side for balance. Two canes are better now, but leg pains, front and back - shooting pains up my butt.
Don't want to use anything but asprine, due to the drop foot, indicates that there may be nerve damage and Asprine will not hurt if taken with food and water.
What started all of this for me was a month ago when I fell from a plateform - back first -onto my ladder...
Today I am tired - I believe because I took a sleeping pill last night. Suggestions would be appreciated
