Hello, I am new to here, and have reciently been diagnosis with MS.  I am an RN and have 7 children, my husband has been a stay at home dad for the last couple years, but since my diagnosis and the onset of my symptoms, we have come to the realization that I may not be able to be the sole bread winner for as long as we anticpated.  My symptoms have gotten worse, and I can see that maybe not now, but in the future my husband will need to be able to take on the finacial responsibilities that I have rasing a family of 9.  He has decided to start back to school, persuring a medical career.  We decided on physical therapy, this is something that he has wanted to do, and in light of my diagnosis, and my future needs, this is his goal.  The problem that I keep running into is that there is assistance for children and patients of ms, but nothing out there for spouses.  And with my current income we are not elegible for finacial aid.  This cost will put a major strain on our income especially with me having to cut back on how much I am used to working.  Does anybody have any ideas or resourses that I can follow up on?

Thanks, Dawn

Do contact your local MS society. They may have ideas for you.
