I had respiratory failure last summer, ended up finding out it was due to allergies to a couple of things and also from smoking when I have illness asthma(I admit to being stubborn when adult daughter tried to warn me).I was in a med. coma for a couple of weeks and paralyzed. It took me a few months to walk again but I can,its been almost a year but I am having some strange things happen.before I got sick I had a numb toe on left side on and off, bells palsy, episodes of anxiety and high blood pressure plus a few muscle jumping on the left only on my hand. This all seemed to go away after or else it wasn't noticeable. Now that I can walk better and move better I am getting muscle twinging or jumping all over my left side of my body,in my hand, foot, chest, lower leg, ear. At night and the novacaine feeling on the left foot, lower leg gets worse.I am worried something is really wrong with me.before the symptoms started again my neurologist did emg, nerve conduction tests, brain and cervical spine mri, didn't find anything...then.I am having a hard time getting back into see him,he is not answering my phone calls but I know absolutely nothing about nerve or muscle regeneration and degeneration so I don't know if I am getting better or worse,I am very scared.Have had test for autoimmune and lyme's all negative, vitamin defiency tests plus electrolytes ,my d is only a little low.I don't think my nervousness can handle a few months wait to see the neuro afraid of als or something

I saw that you were feeling really well and posted a "sooo happy" post in another room. Did you go down hill from earlier today?

I am a little confused. What is your question?

I sounds like you were really sick last summer. You have had a lot going on with high blood pressure, anxiety and the rest. Were all of those things treated and treated successfully?

MS is a central nervous system disease. It is not considered a muscle disease. The fact that you have had both brain and neck MRIs that were clear means you won't get an MS diagnosis. It is possible to develop central nervous system lesions in a short amount of time. If you suspect MS, then you will need a new set of MRIs of your brain and neck.

If you have any questions, please ask.
Diagnosed with MS July 2006

I have no lesions on my soul and so I live with no limits.

yes,I am so happy that the issues with the cause of my breathing issues has been resolved I am just having trouble with the fascilations, not sure if they are caused by nerves trying to get back to normal or if they are getting worse. My rheumatologist suggested that it is fibromyalgia(this was when I didn't really have all these fascilations).I do think I have fibro too I just wanted an opion of someone who had neurological problems.I am going to get repeat tests its just that they can't get me in right away so its making me a little nervous since I do have some anxiety problems too.I don't know alot about ms except that my cousin who I am not that close with has it,I don't think it is hereditary.I was just hoping to find a fast answer since I tend to worry too much, but I kinda know that it is not really that likely to happen that way.
treacheal stenosis, fibromyalgia and who knows what else
