Hey, I am paraplegic and have recently (1 1/2 yr ago) had a colostomy fitted.  I am trying to irrigate however, am having to remove/replace the base plate each time as I am unable to find an easier fixing irrigation sleeve which can be pushed on the base plate without it needing to be placed into very hot water to elasticate it and my fingers behind it to force the tight fitting sleeve on?  My friend has an easier one however, this comes from the US and I am allergic to the Mefix dressing which sticks it to my skin.  I am wanting to irrigate as I am not happy carrying a bag of faeces around in my chair with me!  Can anyone help with any suggestions?
