have had it with cold/snow and feeling lousy. have visited costa rica 6 times and after this last time, decided i had to move there. area i'm moving into is like eternal spring including showers, but right now is rainy or green season. have a neurologist lined up as well as a gp. part of me says i'm crazy, but i feel so much better there. could be lack of stress, cooler weather... don't know. when it's hot, i grab my cap and take gel pack from freezer, wrap in bandana and pop it in cap then onto head and all heat goes away. so ready for summer or even hot spring/winter days. have 3 fruit trees in backyard and a 15 minute bus ride to market where you can find anything. mostly moving for politics, but magically feeling better helped decision too! hopefully i'll really be gone oct./nov.   linda (have secondary progressive)

odettesmom,
How wonderful! It sounds beautiful. I admire you for the courage you
have making a move like that! Are you going by yourself? If so wowwwww.
My husband passed away several months ago and I wish I had the
courage to make a move like that I hope you really like it please
keep me posted once you get there and settled in.

Sorry about that spammer - how rude! I just wanted to say congrats on making the decision to move! I didn't move as far as Costa Rica, but moving from the Seattle area to Southern California has been such a blessing - weather is warmer, sun is shining, and not that "liquid sunshine" we'd get daily in Washington. Best of luck, you're going to love it!

thank you admin! i am so sick of being offered viagra! for crying out loud, i'm a 65=year old woman and have no possible use for it!

it didn't take more than a critical overview of life as i know it to life as i want it. having visited various parts of costa rica over 6 times, i finally realized that i honestly feel better there than in nj ... way less stress. taking bus and no car nonsense to deal with. fresh clean air. honest people (there are crooks like in nj, but if you're careful) and very willing to help out. they even put up with my high school spanish! uess not having much family around me helped too. i went for a 90 day trial and found i could make do with the things i find in costa rica. may not be 20 kinds of dish detergent, but enough to choose from. i love it! get scared in the mega stores around here... decisions, decisions. ms doesn't like that. good luck to both of you and thank you for the support.  linda
