Hello, my name is Lou and I have been trying to find out what could be my problem, I do have an appointment with the doctor next week but it's the weekend and I'm feeling quite concerned.
In 2006 I had two major dizzy spells (woke up both times spinning and couldn't get into a position to releive this), I was sent for two CT scans (both normal), I was sent to an ear, nose and throat specialist who diagnosed me with BPPV (benign paroxysmol, positional vertigo). I had ear tests (all normal). 10 months later I was feeling dizzy again (not the same bad spinning as the first two attacks) but very off balance, nerve sensations in my head and feeling like I walk to the left and may fall. I went back to the Ears, nose and throat specialist but I was not spinning so he couldn't do anything about it (he then changed his mind and said my problem is probably NOT BPPV). The last few months I have been getting tingling in my hands very bad burning and shooting pain, this is worse at night but tingling and numbness last 24/7. Just the last 2 weeks I have been getting some tingling on the balls of my feet, lips,& tongue. Most of the time my hands are hot and to touch hot things with my fingertips is very painful (extra hot and sensitive) just yesterday my hands for the first time were extremely cold and only slightly numb. I have pins and needles and gnawing pain in the back of my neck also. I feel weak and heavy especially in my upper body, mid arm pain, shoulder and neck pain (feels like nerve pain), I haven't done anything to hurt myself. Last night I was awake nearly all night in pain and couldn't get comfortable, I had tightening pain behind my knee and couldn't straighten it easy. I have had some urinary tract issues over the past year (maybe I have some sort of infection that has got into my bones or something)?. Oh yes, I also went through a couple of months of extremely itchy skin on my upper back (no rash or anything) just very itchy and hot, this has gone now but I still get itchy patches especially on my hot tingling numb hands. I am definately loosing mobility getting very stiff, finding it hard to move my arms as quick as I used to, and I can't sit on the floor with my legs crossed, too stiff and sore. I am 49 and feel like a wreck, can anyone please shed some light on what I might suggest to my doctor (some need you to tell them what is wrong) as soon as you walk in the surgery they say "Hello, what seems to be your problem?) well !!! if I knew that I wouldn't have to be here.
Sorry I don't mean to sound sarcastic. Thank you for your time reading this, Lou.
