My name is Monique and I am new here. In March last year my foot became numb. Added to this was severe spasms in my upper abdominal muscles. A few other symptoms were present too. After much debate with my GP I was finally referred onto a neurologist. 2 MRI's later and I have been diagnosed with myelitis (2.1 cm lesion in T7-8 thoracic spine). I had a load of blood work done too and that all seems normal.
My neurologist has recommended 6 monthly MRIs to keep an eye on it. A couple of months I started getting a real tightness in my right arm, like I am flexing. Tingling in the right hand is also present. 2 or 3 weeks ago I started experiencing very bad dizziness which happens once or twice a week. It could be vertigo as the room does feel like it is spinning.
My question is should I contact my neurologist to make an early appointment for my next MRI or leave it be? It is still 3 months until my next scheduled one.
Thanks in advance
