Hi, I am new to the forum.

Is it possible to have ibs and ms ?

The reason I am asking is that, I have been having problems since 2009. I first fell ill abroad and when I got back on my feet I noticed that after every meal I would need to pass stool. Anyway I didn't think nothing of it. A few months later I was going to the toilet a lot more often like 5 times per day also accompanied with stomach pains, bloating, heartburn, indigestion ect....

So I went to the doctors who sent me to the gastro dr (after months of seeing my doctor) I had numerous blood tests, stool tests and a colonoscopy. They said to me that I had ibs, dyspepsia, lactose intolerance and a over active thyroid. So I changed my diet and I have taken loads of different meds, lanzoparole, ibuscapan ect... None of them worked in any way so went back to the doctors who sent me for a ct scan which showed nothing.
I was sent to a dietitian, who asked me to go on a fob map diet for 12 weeks which I did, and nothing set my ibs off. I then went to see a specialist dietitian who said my ibs isn't triggered by food but by stress, anxiety, depression and fatigue.

I went to see the doctor again regarding concerns of ms and he looked at me gone out and asked why I asked, I asked because it runs in the family and because my symptoms had got a lot worse.
At the minute I am trying to get my doctor to send me to a specialist in ms and he has put me on mirtazapine 15mg to see if that helps.
I have to go back in 6 weeks time to see him so at the minute I am just waiting around.

Has any one else had similar experience ?

Here's a list of my symptoms.

On a good days

Stomach ache
Constipation/diarrhoea ( or both 5-10 times per day)
Bladder problems ( more often, struggle to get flowing going or not emptying properly)
Chronic fatigue
No energy
Headaches(at least one a day sometimes more)
Rashes( been told off one doc it's dermatitis and food allergy off another) normally on shins and elbows
Pelvic pain
Aching ( neck,back,shoulders and legs)

On a bad day (all above +)

Eyes hurt (when I look in the corners of my eyes and sensitive to light)
Dizziness/light headed
Hot and cold flushes
Muscle spazums( normally in shoulders )

I would be great full for any help and similar experiences

Thanks for your time
