Hello, I am a 26 yo female, and I am concerned about recent worsening in my health that cannot really be explained, and was looking for opinions.

First is my memory and cognition-it is utterly HORRIBLE. This is the number one nuisance by far. More than a mere nuisance, it is causing me to miss appointments, fail my math tests, miss credit card payments etc. I can't remember things I just did, even though I am trying to concentrate on what someone is saying really hard, best way to describe it is it's like it just doesn't get through, doesn't matter how simple it may be. Recently I have been like "delayed" like I will think of something I need to do, but when I will forget within a few seconds and it will only come back to me after about 45 seconds if I think really really hard. Doesn't usually happen in conversations, but sometimes it does. Sooooo frustrating b/c my memory used to be AWESOME and I was a straight A student up until a year or so ago, then I went to getting B's and C's to now failing some tests and stuff...I didn't get my first F until like 2 months ago!!

I also have weird sensations that seem to be getting a bit more frequent....about 1x a day the bottom of my foot will feel like it is vibrating...after about 10sec or so it goes away and also the right side of my head, like behind my ear has this "electric current" type feeling during the day sometimes, doesn't hurt, just annoying, occasionally I will get a "zip zap" down like my quad muscle in my leg that scare te heck out of me. My verbal articulation is now absolutely horrendous, but my writing skills are still much better

My sleep has been worse, I am exhausted a lot yet find it very hard to actually fall asleep, depression worse, anxiety etc etc.

I have been diagnosed in the past with ADHD, depression, generalized anxiety disorder, mood disorder, and have a definitive diagnosis of Tourette syndrome and OCD. Now this is mainly why MS has been on my mind, b/c neuro (more specifically movement related disorders) run in my family. My grandfather got Parkinson's onset in his early 60's and my brother and I both have tourette's. Mine far more severe.

1)I was wondering if my symptoms at all resemble anyone's early onset of MS, like before you were diagnosed (were memory and cognition lapses early on?), 2)also what age were u diagnosed, and 3)were you misdiagnosed with other things a lot? 4)How fast does your MS progress, like from the time you felt symptoms (even if you did not know what they were at the time) till the time a doctor actually told you you had MS. 5)And also did you have any neuro history in your family; like parkinsons, ALS, dystonia, tourettes etc. I know I am probably just overreacting, but like I said, b/c of the history of neuro disorders in my family and because this lack of cognition is really REALLY starting to really aggravate me, I thought I would give a try posting here.

I recently bought this DNA test you spit in a tube so they can genotype you and send you results about all sorts of different markers you have for inherited conditions and enzymes you may lack (or have excess of) that are responsible for metabolizing medications and other substances. It is a site called 23andme[dot]com my biological anthropology professor told me about it. It was $99 but I think it will be interesting and I am excited to get the report in 6-weeks

Any feedback, comments or advice would be helpful. Thanks
