Going thru a bunch of stuff past couple months and my doctor suspects ms. Had brain mri which by what I read of the report looks clear, no lesions. Still waiting for follow up with neurologist tho. I had an eeg few days ago and then go for a spine mri in a few weeks. If my brain mri came back without showing lesions, could I still have ms ? 24 year old female. Started with tremor and tingling on left shoulder to hand. Worst symptom is left side of face parathesias and a buzzing in shoulder that lasted over a week and then disappeared. If it is MS how often do symtpms last and then reoccurr? I read symptoms need to occur at least 30 days apart for it to be ms ? Just looking for others opinions and stories. no diagnosis I know that's up to the doctors. Any information would help. Thanks :)

Yes. Flares or symptoms must be at least 30 days apart. If your brain and spine are clear of lesions then you will probably be looking for a different diagnosis. Is your neurologist an MS specialist? Why did he/she do an EEG rather than evoked potentials.

Your symptoms are certainly disturbing. I hope you get some answers. Other disease you might want to check out: fibromyalgia, Lyme disease and Parkinson's.

The brain mri as I read on the report I asked for said no lesions but I haven't had a spinal mri. The eeg and mri were the first two things ordered. I was diagnosed with neurocardiogenic syncope when I was younger so maybe they think its linked to that ? However, the fainting has been something seperate that I've had since I was 3. Here's little history of the new symptoms that I don't think relate to my fainting. Haven't fainted in two years.

For past 5 years I've had weird sensations in my legs like rls and pain that usually happen in the evening but have occurred during the day. At times have made it hard to walk but I just figured it was growing pains or slept wrong or shrugged it off.

Past 2 years I've been battling dizziness apart from my fainting but associated it with my fainting as a reason.

I trip a lot and drop things normally. Feel like a ditz but figured just a lot on my plate and didn't pay much mind to it.

Past year I've started getting like tremors I call them. Always my left hand and once my shoulder. It's occurred when holding something or reaching for something if I recall correctly. Only has occurred three times past year.

Then a few weeks it feels like but more like months I started getting a tingling sensation on my left shoulder thru to my arm and waves over my left cheek bone and left chin. Arm feels very heavy but I don't lose any strength but get tired easily. Noticed when I do my hair in the morning.

Three weeks ago the numbness hit like usual I try to ignore it but this time the waves of tingling numbness in my face didn't subside and few hours my left shoulder felt as if I had placed a vibrator on it. Went to my primary after 6 hours of this. Sent me to er for possible stroke. Cat scan negative sent home.

Waves of numbness/tingling and heavy arm lasted about two weeks. The vibrations lasted 10 days and nothing since then. Also every day during the week of the buzzing vibrations, whenever I got into my hot car (90°) the numbness would hit and I'd get like a bells palsy on my right side of face. Dropping lip and eye on right side but would improve hours later after in normal temperature. Very odd.

So I don't know if this relates to anyone or ms or if it's different issues occurring at the same time. What do you think ? I try not to read too much into websites and such cause so many diseases relate to each other. I figured a forum would help with people experiencing it themselves. Thanks for any feedback and I apologize for any typos I'm exhausted.

You do have a lot going on. The fact that you don't have brain lesions may indicate a different diagnosis. Obviously we can't diagnose you.

For me, I didn't have so many different things going on at once. It started with just one thing. I had vertigo that went from mild to terrible in the course of 3 weeks. I ended up in the hospital when it got so bad I didn't have the balance to walk.

Over the years, after subsequent flares, I now have other symptoms. (Poor vision, numbness along with chronic vertigo and balance issues). For me, I have no symptoms that come and go. All my issues are consistent and seemingly permanent.

I hope this helps.
