HI All

I was diagnosed with lyme three years ago and undergone a lot of different treatments. I have had retesting that's negative. I have had MRI's EMG's NCV's blood work. I have muscle pain in legs mainly but arms also affected brain fog terrible muscle twitching all over legs mainly vibration numbness tingling in fingers form time to time. I have been thinking MS but tests say no at this point. I am just wondering if there was anything anyone has done to figure out their diagnosis???

Thank you

Cynthia idea

Hi Cynthia,

Do you feel the Lyme treatment was successful? Did you ever feel any relief? Lyme is tricky and can be very difficult to treat. I'm sorry you are still suffering.

Most doctors feel that an infection triggers MS. It could be that Lyme has triggered an inappropriate immune response. Epstein bar has been associated as a trigger. Even when the infection is successfully treated the auto-immune dysfunction can remain.

I'm sorry I don't have any real suggestions for you. If the tests for MS are negative then you most likely won't receive an MS diagnosis or treatment. It sounds like you have done the major tests to look for MS. Keep us posted. Best of luck to you. Please ask any questions you may have.

I have no lesions on my soul and so I live with no limits.

Lyme disease is hard to treat unless it is catch early. Some have success using raindrop therapy in treating Lyme disease. If the anitbiotics have fail you might give it a look.
