Hi all,
The annual neurology meeting on April 24, had some interesting highlights.
A clinical trial being conducted in France by Med day. They are testing high dose biotin.
Google MD1003

The stage 3 trial had some significant findings for primary and secondary progressive ms.

After 9 months 80% of patients on the active drug had no progression, and 13% had a 1 point reversal on the edss scale. This could be the 1st maintenance drug for progressives. optic neuritis had significant improvements..

    they used 300mg doses.
   its mode of action influences 2 targets;
  1.  it activates acetyl-CoA carboxylases. the enzyme needed in synthesis of fatty acids needed for myelin synthesis.
  2.  it activates the Krebs cycle in demylinated axons, that increase energy production of nerve impulse.
