Started Copaxone in March 2014...thought all was going okay, but had brain & cervical spine MRIs yesterday---neurologist just called & told me I have a new lesion on my midbrain...not active but definitely new. So wants me to come to his office Thursday & discuss which med I want to switch to. Aauuugghhhh. He named off three different pills--I can't swallow a pill. So he mentioned Betaseron....I guess it's my only choice, unless I would be able to break open a capsule, or bust a pill to take them...and I can only assume they would not suggest that. Anyone out there have to switch from Copaxone to Betaseron???? I really liked the Copaxone, and I'm REALLY not excited about Betaseron....mixing injections before you administer....chance of depression.... Anyone have any information??? This just sucks.

Ugh!!! I'm so sorry!! I don't have any good advice for you. I'm sorry! I've only ever taken copaxone.

Betaseron does have a lot of side effects, but it is also an effective medication for many people.

I have no lesions on my soul and so I live with no limits.
