Hi, I am new so please be patient (pun intended). I am a 56 year old woman that was diagnosed with MS in 1992, and is now diagnosed as secondary progressive. For many years, I have been dealing with stabbing pain in my thoracic spine. My MRI was negative, showing osteoarthritis and "expected changes related to MS", which was not explained any further. I walk with a crutch or use a wheelchair or scooter when out. I am becoming more and more convinced that I am experiencing atrophy in my core muscles to the degree that they can no longer support my back, and that because I use crutches, and because my gait is affected by the MS, that this could be the reason for this pain, but it is increasing dramatically, and I would say that it rates an 8 on a scale of 1-10. The affected area is very small, about the size of the palm of my hand, it never changes place, it is relieved by direct pressure, only. I am out of my gourd trying to figure out what is going on! So frustrating, and so very debilitating. Any suggestions, ideas or similar stories out there? Thanks so much for letting me ask.
