Hi, I am a new user to your site. I have had ms over 30 years. I am having terrible tummy issues. Severe bloating gas pains and excessive wind weather I eat or not. i eat healthy except for sweets which am cutting out. I also know I am lactose intolerant. I take a tablet of biscodyl 20 mgs every night otherwise food would never leave my tummy. i am so miserable all the time....eating or not! I am wondering if I should put myself through more testing when I know its just ms. my Physicians and I know I have motility issues. I am wondering if gluten free or vegan would help? i currently do not eat meat.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Teri

Hi Teri,

I'm sorry to hear this!!! And this tummy stuff is new? Are you sure it's MS?

I am gluten free. I developed celiacs a few years ago. I was having terrible bloating and then diarrhea. That's all gone if I'm careful to avoid gluten. I have some mild motility issues as well. I have to drink a ton of water and make sure I've had plenty of fiber.

I know you don't want to go though a bunch of testing, but you should probably see a gastroenterologist.
Diagnosed with MS July 2006

I have no lesions on my soul and so I live with no limits.
