There are medications that can be tried for fatigue:
- Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD) medications ---- Ritalin, Adderall, etc.
- Amantadine (anti-viral medication) --- It's an older medication that has shown to be helpful with fatigue, but isn't prescribed as much as it once was. The other medications mentioned above are usually the first ones tried.
- Exercise ---- this has been shown to help fatigue as well as improve mobility/endurance, pain, balance and spasticity.
- Naps and resting --- sometimes that's the only thing that will help.
I have tried the majority of medications used for fatigue. I am unable to use any of them for fatigue so my options are the non-medication ones.
