I live in Kansas City and it is suppose to get abve 100 today. WOW!!! My energy level is at a 2 maybe. Just wondering if high temps zap anyone elses energy?

All I can do is sit on the couch as the kids beg me to take them swimming. Well, that's not going to happen.

Hope everyone is staying cool!! tongue

Absolutely! We just love cooking on the grill and lately it has just been too hot sad We still do it but wait until like 8pm to get started. The heat makes the fatigue extra bad especially this year with the high temps. Cooling packs around the wrists and neck do help, he's able to stay out a bit longer with those things.

Yes, it is dreadful.  Not quite as hot here -- "only" 92 today...I am so grateful that I have central air conditioning.

I keep the doors and windows closed, the curtains pulled. Even so, it is hot.  I haven't cooked anything to eat for days, now (we are eating cold food, salads, stuff that I can zap in the micro.  Fortunately I live way in the country, no neighbors, so I spend much of the day semi-naked (not a pretty sight!! tongue   )

Like Kimber says, the cooling packs can help if you have to be out (or don't have air). Other things: cool wet clothes draped on your head, cold drinks (and lots of fluids; it's way easy to get dehydrated).

And just take it as easy as you can.

...I am not a doctor, nor health professional, and don't pretend to be one, here.....

I spoke with my MS clinic today, and they are very busy with phone calls and visits because of exacerbations with this heat.  I am so tired too, just hanging out in front of a fan.  Tomorrow, going to the lake late in the day when part of it is covered with shade... can't wait. :-)

My name is Chris and I work for a company called AVAcore Technologies. I couldn't help but notice everyone's comments about MS and the heat. My company makes a product that non-invasively helps cool your body down from the inside-out and we are improving the lives of many MS patients all over the country. I'm not saying that we can provide relief for everyone, but it is worth a look because if we can help you it will be significant. Thanks,

Chris, this is not allowed on this website.  You may not sell your products.  You are welcome to give everyday MS suppport, advice or ask questions.
