Hi every one,I'am from the crohns-arthritis board and I have some questions that I'am hopeing some one can answer.Ok here it goes I started out with waking up one morning and the right side of my head was numb(still numb) and that has been about eight month's ago.I went to the ER because it really freked me out and the ER Doctor told me that I had Bell's Paulsey and said the feeling would return with in fourty eight hours and needless to say it did not.I then got in to see a Nuerolagist and he told me I have never had Bell's palsey. So with that we did a CT scan and a MRI as well and was told that I have leasion's(sp) and that if it got any werse then we would do a repeat on the MRI.Well about two month's ago on my right foot the last four toes have gone numb and I have not regained feeling there either. Now I woke up the other morning and now the pinky and half of the palm of my hand has gone numb and again have not regained feeling there as well.I see my Nuerolagist on the 10th of August and see how my MRI has turned out.Now I do have nerve damage in my right arm and hand.My Neurolagist told me that if the leasion's were any biger that he would give me a dianose's of MS.Now my question is does this sound like this could be MS?I would really be thankful to any one that can give me some input here.I would like to say in advance thank you all.
Thanks
Curley......

Hi Curley,

Welcome to the MS forum. I'm sorry you are having so many issues to deal with! I bumped up an old thread for you entitled what a doctor looks for to diagnose MS. It might answer some of your questions.

The presentation of MS varies in the individual, numbness can occur in some folks. Since you are on your second MRI they will compare it to the first one to check for new lesions or growth of the ones you already have. If it does turn out to be worse you could get a dx at that point. If there is no difference between the two they can wait and watch you over time to see if anything new develops or run further testing on you like evoked potentials or possibly a lumbar puncture. I hope you get some answers, I understand the waiting can be rough. Hang in there and let us know what you find out.
