Hi all,
I just got a prescripton for Amantadine, hoping it well help me with the fatigue when I go back to work soon.  Anyone wish to share their experience with it?  I have read a lot about Provigil on this forum, but this is the one my MS clinic chooses to prescribe.
Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Shar,
My doc told me that Amantidine has been around quite a while but in his opinion it doesn't help nearly as much as Provigil. I imagine since it is still prescribed for fatigue that it must help some so please let us know how it works for you!

Wow, I had no idea the Amantadine could take weeks to start working.  The Wal-Mart pharmacist said she didn't know, maybe one or two days redface

I quizzed the MS clinic about it further, and apparently they try this drug first because it is approved by the government for MS fatigue (Canada), and is therefore covered fully.  Provigil and Carnitine are not and are quite expensive so we will try them if this doesn't work.  When they put the label on the bottle of "warning may cause dizziness" they weren't kidding!  I hope it doesn't last long.
