Hey Everyone
I've had an interesting weekend. It started out with me taking a couple of teenage girls and my daughter to the movies. I began feeling that bad weakness on my right side as we entered the mall and it just progressed from there. I tried to pass a coke to my daughter and her friend and just dropped it. I can't explain how that feels except that u think u have it and then u don't. U just drop it. Of course the weakness got worse as the night wore on and then i began feeling the crawly things, but on both sides. I dropped spoons, papers..u name it...all weekend and FINALLY thought about it and decided i didn't need to use my right hand for now. As the weekend went on i also found myself jerking in my right leg and arm more and feeling the tingling that goes along with the crawly feeling sometimes. This lasted all weekend and some of the crawling and tingling are still with me. Today is MUCH better tho. The weakness is all but gone. I started on requip a few days ago (Thurs) and was a little surprised to see the jerking, tho i know it's too early most likely to see any results from that. I tried it some time back and didn't find it helpful, so maybe that's it again. Anyway, I'm undx'd and unsure about calling my doc over something as simple as this. It does seem to be some sort of progression, tho. Worthwhile to make that call? Thanks everyone!

Hi Rhonda,

It wouldn't hurt to call. (Though I never take my own advice on that one.) I'm sorry you had such a bad weekend, but I'm glad you're feeling better today.

My weekend was about like usual. We're moving to our new home in a few weeks, and I've had a lot of packing to do. It's difficult to do stuff when you feel like your body's just run out of gas. I've got a lot of weakness and fatigue in my legs today. I feel like I've ran uphill 40 miles through wet cement.

I hate this disease, whatever it is!

Sounds like you had a flare...and it seems to be subsiding? When measured over time, I think each flare leads to some progression, but it's not like they're equal. I think it's worth it to call the doctor -- he may not want (or need) to see you, but you should at least get one of the nurses to record it in your records. (And if you're keeping a log, you should have noted it, too!)
...I am not a doctor, nor health professional, and don't pretend to be one, here.....
