Hey Theresa!
Good to see u here again! Ask away...that's what this place is for!
I don't have a med alert
bracelet, but then i'm not dx'd either. I imagine it'd be a good idea for some of the meds u may be on, but then it'd be hard to list them all...and to keep up with the ever changing meds as well. Some here use their cell phones for the "I.C.E." set up. In case u'r not familiar with that, it means In Case of Emergency. U list it under phone numbers and if u have room in notes u can list u'r meds there. The ICE listing usually gives names and numbers of those to call in case u'r unable to tell anyone and that person should know what u'r taking and any of u'r dx's. Hope this helps!

No, I don't. Since MS is not likely to cause me to be unconscious, and the meds I'm on wouldn't immediately be a problem should I, say, be in an accident... I don't bother with one. I do carry identification with me at all times, which includes the sort of information that Rhonda describes.

Great question Theresa -
I was wondering this the other day. Rhonda and Uppity have explained things well, I've already pre-programmed my neuro's phone # in my cellphone under Neuro, but I like the In Case of Emergency idea. This is a great idea for anyone. I think I'll pass this along to all my family members and set their phones up with this.

thanks for the advice... I have been thinkin of getting one just so if I am ever in an accident they will know all the meds I am on in case of a reaction... But maybe I will just put a card in my bag saying what is up and avoid having to buy the bracelet....thanks!
