Hi- I'm new to this chat stuff but need advice from fellow MSrs so here goes . I have been on Avonex for 7 years and my MRI says that I am not progressing. However at my last neurology appointment which was Wed the 17th of January  my Neuro. did a neurological test that she had never done before and proceeded to teel me me that mayb I'd do better with Tysabri the new back on the market drug. I hate change so unless this is going to make me walk normally again with out the aide of a vice helper ( walker or cane) I don't know if I want to make the change- plus it's way more expensive than Avonex- - so right now I am just trying to find someone onit- for howw long and wthe pros and cons according to them- we all basiclly are some what ourr own doctors ahnd we have instincts to deal with along all the other decisions . They are our bodies and they give us the messages we need along with our ultimate higher power
Thaks for your time- some one help me please

Sorry, I can't help. I've been on Betaseron for 14 years, now, and like you -- I think that, "..if it ain't broke, why fix it"?? I don't seem to be progressing or changing much....not better, not worse. I've seen mixed reviews on the Tysabri -- I have a friend who has been on it for 6 months and has only deteriorated; yet others seem to be doing very well, and even being able to walk a bit I'm not interested in changing to it, just yet.
...I am not a doctor, nor health professional, and don't pretend to be one, here.....
