Has anyone heard of Wellbuterin being used to treat nerve pain or fatigue?  I was taking nortriptyline for nerve pain, but because of some bad side effects, I had to discontinue it.  I've been taking Wellbuterin for several weeks, and have noticed that the nerve pain hasn't returned, even after discontinuing the nortriptyline.  I also seem to have more energy than I did before starting the Wellbuterin.  Is this just a quirk, or is there an actual pharmacological explanation?

Hey Lisa

I was given Welbutrin XL for fatigue early on. It didn't help me, but was definitely prescribed for that. It's my understanding that oftentimes antidepressants are used for fatigue. As far as nerve pain, i can't comment. I don't really have pain with anything other than my legs or eye and that's not the same. I"m glad it's helping u! Please let us know how it continues to work!
