Hi there.  I am new to this site and new to possible MS.  I am not sure how to navagite this site and unsure if I will be able to get back to this spot to see if there are any replies.  I was tested for MS at 21 when I started falling, having problems with my vision, bowels.  The best way to describe my feeling is that I have a 9 volt battery in my mouth for days at a time.  Tingles don't really cover it as it is stronger than that.  I had a lumbar puncture that came back clear.  Now ten years later I am still having all the same sensations and they are worsening.  I was treated for Lyme disease with lots of anti-biotics for three months and now all the symptoms are back again and my doc wants to re-test me for MS.  Will there be any changes from the tests I had years ago?  Thanks to anyone who may have any answers for me.  Love this site and looking forward to becoming more computer swavy...
Hi Sherry,
Welcome to Healing Well.  I started a new thread for you to better help you see replies to your post.  I'm sorry things are back again.  You haven't had any problems at all since that first attack 10 years ago? MS can mimic many other conditions, including Lyme disease, but there is a type of MS (benign MS) where you can have long periods of no symptoms. It is possible that if you do indeed have MS that something would show on testing after such a long time.  I do wish you luck with your testing to figure out whats happening.  Please let us know what you find out.  Take good care of yourself, and I hope you start to feel better soon!

Hey Sherry!

Welcome to the board! I'm sorry to see u'r having probs, especially after such a long time without symptoms. As Kimber said, it is possible to have something show up on testing with a long time between tests, but hopefully it won't be MS and u'll find it's something that can be easily treated and u can move on. I hope u'll feel better soon. Please feel free to ask any questions u have and lean on us all u like. The people here are wonderful and more than willing to help where ever they can. Take care and let us know how u'r doing and how the tests turn out.

Hey, thanks everyone. I have been having symptoms for most of the ten years, just they came and went if waves almost. I had also been in a car accident where I had a head injury so for awhile it was chalked up to that and then four years ago was told it was all in my head. My Aunt refered me to this site and she is also a member on the crohn's board. She was right, lots of support and help from many people. Thanks again and I'll keep updating when I get more info from my doc.
