Welcome to the board!! I"m glad u've found us and hope u'll find this is a supportive and helpful place for u. Wow...reading u'r experiences is like telling my own story for the most part. I have almost all the symptoms u list or have had them over time. I've been having probs for a little over a year and still no diagnosis. As u said, this can take quite a while. For u and me, this may or may not be ms. There are so many neurological probs that can cause these symptoms and it's so hard to determine which is could be given the nature of the nervous system...very hard to pin things down. One thing u mentioned that sticks out to me is u'r legs and them jumping and feeling like jello. That's SO ME!! I was dx'd with Restless Leg Syndrom and now take Requip. That could be a helpful med for u. In addition to that, when the pain is just too much, i also use Neurontin. It's wonderful! As for the twitches and muscles jumping all over...that may be neuropathy. Neuropathy is a disorder of the nervous system, but not part of the CENTRAL nervous system. That means it may not be ms if it's that. Just a suggestion. Many of the symptoms u list are symptoms of ms, but as i said before, can be many other things. U may want to google 'ms mimics' or 'ms differential diagnosis' and take a look at the other possibilities. U mentioned having blood work done at both doc visits. What blood tests were done? Were any other tests done?? MRI's or spinal tap or anything else? Did the doc do any in office exams like having u walk heel to toe or stand with u'r eyes closed?? Those are some typical tests done to determine quickly whether u may have some deficits. Keep pushing on to find an answer, but try not to dwell on it too much. Believe me, it can and will consume u if u give it too much time. In the meantime a helpful idea may be to gather all u'r med records to date that deal with this. The test result copies and and any mri films u may have had done. Also, u have a good grasp on u'r history...on how this has progressed. Write it all out and begin keeping a journal to log the things that happen that're maybe different or new. Note the duration and severity. This'll give u and u'r doc a look at how things are progressing for u.
Also, we have live chats on Monday's at 6:00pm (cst). We'd love to have u join us! Take care and again, welcome to the board!
