Has anyone out there taken Novantrone injections? If so, what is your opinion?

Never heard of it. Is it a NEW MS drug?

No, not new. Been around for several years, but only used for people for whom the other more common drugs haven't shown to be effective, or for people with progressive MS. Here's a website that talks about it:

It is a type of chemotherapy that the neurologist wants my dad to take. The articles I have read indicate
that it reduces the relapse rate by 90%. I just wondered if anyone has taken these treatments.

Good afternoon, everyone.
 
@ 2 years ago, I finished 2 & 3/4 years of novatrone treatmens.  The treatments are given introveneously (sp).
 
I cannot say that they helped me, as I have progressed.  But who knows how much furether I'd be without it...

....and while Novatrone is chemotherapy, it is not full, cancer chemotherapy.
