Hi everyone,

I have what one doc described as "warts" on the side of my right lip, down below. These are not sexually transmitted and I have never given them to my hubby, been married 10 years. They come and go and most of the time I don't even realize they have appeared. Well this time they itch bad!

Last weekend my grandma was put in the hospital and is now on hospice care. She will not survive. I am not upset, she is 90 years old! My house is the closest to the hospital and I had several aunts and 2 little cousins here at my house. I have also been fighting a sinus infection. I'm guessing my body felt stressed and viola I get a breakout.

I have also been experiencing more symptoms of my MS? problems. I hate talking to docs about it because they always say, "Even Nuns get those, its nothing to worry about". I use to worry about it being Herpes but I had them with all 3 kids and the babies were all tested and I have been tested several times. I am negative.

My question is... Do you get these breakouts when you are having more symptoms? Is there anything to do about it? Could this be a warning sign that my other symptoms will get worse? I mean, if these warts come when your body is attacking itself, auto immune, then could this be my warning that my other problems will worsen again.

Thanks for any help and advice!

Hey Lysha

Nothing to be embarrased about here friend. I have heard of these as we discussed before. What i know of them is that they are painful and itchy (as u said) and they are not to be removed for fear of not healing. Not sure how 'official' that info is, but that's what i read. I would suspect that, yes, u'll need to be careful of other symptoms coming on. Have these ever come up with any other flare?? U have a lot on u now Lysha, be good to u'rself and rest when u can. U'll need it in the coming weeks and u may not be able to just stop then. I know u...u'll say u will rest and u don't really. <tisk, tisk, tisk> This time do it!! Let u'r body have a chance to catch up to what u've been doing and dealing with. Stress isn't just on the physical body...it's mental and it all affects u'r symptoms. Take such good care friend and let me know what u may need from me...i'll be here.

I've not experienced the specific problem you mention....but I can well relate to the fact that..whenever I am overtired, overstressed, or ill with something else, like a cold or flu, my MS symptoms worsen, sometimes significantly. You've got plenty of stresses going on right now in your life, and a sinus infection, so it seems reasonable to me that if there is any weakness at all, autoimmune disorders will "get ugly" until the stress and or illness is over. I've not had those warts, but know of others who have, and as your doctor said, they're not infectious, nothing to be ashamed of, they just are. I hope they..and everything else, gets resolved soon. Take care.

With Rhonda's help I think I have figured it out. It is called Lichen Sclerosus. I am going to be calling my GYN next week and see what she thinks.

Thanks Uppity for sympathizing with me!

My friend that has MS had the same sinus infection that I have. She ended up having to call her neuro and get some prednisone and it lasted for 3 weeks. Well I'm in my 2nd week of this crud. I can definitely tell that it is taking its toll on me! I've been playing bumper pool down the hall! haha

Take care and have a wonderful Easter!
