There are no medicines to prevent MS, or prevent the damage that MS might cause. If you've been tested and have a B12 deficiency, then you should be on *injections* of B12. No one is able to take enough B12 orally to make a difference. But not everyone with MS has a B12 deficiency. If you spend time on the internet -- even on this site -- you'll find all sorts of folks offering "cures" and "treatments" for MS. If they're talking about Avonex, Betaseron, Copaxone, Rebif, or Novantrone, these are a legitimate medicine. Other stuff should be viewed with suspicion, including special diets, supplements, vitamin regimens, bee venon, and the like.

This is of course my personal opinion.

Hi Allison,
I agree with what Uppity is saying.  If you are considering trying to add vitamins to your diet, please talk to your doctor first.  If MS is suspect certain vitamins boost the immune system which can be a very bad thing to do with MS patients.  I don't know of any reason why you should stop the adderal, is it working good for you have you noticed?  Take care of yourself and I hope you get your answers soon.
