This update is going to be a little more in depth then previously. Right now I am feeling up to posting what I know as of this point. My general practitioner doctor ordered blood work on me initially. The results were fine, only thing was my iron was a little low but not bad. It happens often with me because I have heavy periods. I had a bad x ray done and all was well there as well so I was referred to a neurologist. The neurologist ordered blood work and all came back well except my B12 levels. They were in the low normal range, not enough to cause problems I was told. I am now taking 1,000 mg of B12 twice a day. I was also referred to a gastrointerologist to determine why I wasn't properly absorbing B12 like I should. I have also had a MRI of the Brain done which I went back for the results on Friday. As I figured it would it didn't show anything. The neurologist point of view on it is you are fine we will treat the symptoms. Monday morning I am going to go back to my general doctor to see where we should go from here. For those that read my last post on the stupid pain the the rear neuro before here is the update on that. My general doctor said if he says things are fine and treat the symptoms he will refer me to another doctor. He said that is what the universities are for lol. He is very into figuring out the problem rather then treating the symptoms like everyone else had tried to do. A doctor with the attitude he has is worth his weight in gold. Anyways on the 30th I go into the GI doctor to get a Upper GI endoscopy done to check for issues there that could cause the B12 issues that I am having. For those who don't know here are the symptoms that I have been having and their onset period. Approximately 3-4 years ago I started to have periods where the right side of my face would go numb and I would have vision issues. Then I started to get headaches. Had a bunch of test done and was told we don't know. Recently I have been having problems with extreme fatigue, memory and concentration problems, balance issues, my neck is a little stiff and I have been having bad lower back pain. Right now I am stuck at home most of the time unless I get someone to take me out. I am lucky if I can stay up most of the day. When I stand up I lose my balance most of the time it seems. I am even starting to get to where I feel like I am trembling but outwardly I am not so I don't know what that is about. I am hoping to get something figured out soon because my insurance runs out in July and after that I don't know what I am going to do if this isn't figured out. As of now this is all I know and will continue to pursue what is going on with me

Hi Gizzmoe,
It certainly is good you have a doc that's willing to do some investigating and you yourself are not giving up the search for answers.  I do wish you the best of luck and let us know how your appointment with the GI doc goes.
