Hey Guys!

Just wanted to let everyone know what happened at the follow up visit with the gi doc yesterday. Very uneventful...biopsies were all clear!! YIPPEEEEE!!! Things are looking up since starting the new med and keeping that fiber pill in my tummy! The IBS symptoms are still with me, but not as harsh as they were just a few weeks ago. I did mention my probs swallowing to the doc. She seemed pretty interested; took plenty of notes. The probs i'm referring to are what i've posted here before. Foods getting lodged in my throat..HURTS!!! So she felt this needed to be looked and set up an appt for this Fri morn to have that done. I'll post back to let u know how it goes.

Hey Rhonda,

I am a little frustrated that you haven't mentioned the problem you have with worms to this doc.  Does she know??????  You need to be completely honest so you can get this all sorted out.

Love you, mean it.  Good luck on Friday, I will be praying for you as always.  Stay cool, stud!

Love and prayers,

Gretchen

Hi Rhonda,
I'm glad all the biopsies are clear, what a relief. I hope the swallowing thing is nothing, I have trouble with liquids, especially water but it has been going on for several years. My brother-in-laws both have trouble swallowing food and they get their esophogus dialated to help with that. Take care, glad you are cancer, bug free!

Good news that it's not cancer.  I hope your meds continue to help you.  As for the swallowing problems, you could be experiencing esophageal spasms.  They can be very painful. We've talked about this here on this list before, I think.  Eating slowly, chewing well, eating with lots of fluids, NOT eating and talking at the same time -- all those things are what I have to do, in order to not experience that.

Hey Everyone!

Thanks for u'r sweet words. I too am so glad nothing serious was discovered. As it appears, IBS was the culprit. Since adding the fiber and the Levbid, things are better. My grandfather died as a result of colon cancer, so u can understand my concerns...beyond just the harsh symptoms i was experiencing. I haven't, however, thought to bring up the worm issue. It seems the worms have clouded my memory and i keep forgetting. I'm sure SOMEONE here will remind me. Maybe a stud??
