My husband is newly diagnosed and trying to look at the two different options of Rebif and Tysabri.  Any thoughts?

Hi And welcome!

Men tend to progress faster than women.  I know a woman on Tysabri who is having awesome results.  Has he discussed this with his neuro?  I think if it were me I'd do the tysabri but there are serious problems that happened so you have to be closely monitored.  The good thing is it's once a month I.V. and virtually no side effects.

I hope he can make his decision soon.  Let us now and please come and ask questions or whatever.  Take care!

Hi There -
My neuro was suggesting tysabri as well for my treatment IF they decided there was enough evidence to dx me w/MS last month, BUT long story short, I came up a lesion short in the spine. She was stating that what they found previously was when a pt was using the combination of tysabri and one of the CRAB's (can't remember what one now- sorry my memory is shot) was when a couple people died and they took it off the market. I was all ready for it from the stuff that I read up on it, but that is just me.

Good luck to your hubby and you!

My BIL is currently receiving Tysabri.  He believes that it is helpful.
Good luck with your DH.
