I saw the hematologist yest. becasue my co-ag work up I had done while I was in the hospital about 2 months ago showed I do have a blood clot risk.
The hematologist said since I don't smoke and am not overweight I shouldn't "worry" about it but to be "aware" of it.  I am to let my docs all nkow and if I have any symptoms, of course, go to the ER.
He was, however, concerned about my constant anemia (not severe) and low white count.  He ran some special studies and I have to go every 4 weeks for labs and will see him again the end of August.  He says if the values continue to be low then he will likely do a bone marrow biopsy to see what is causing it.
I am still recovering form surgery, doing pretty well, still trying to figure out what foods go thru too fast.  I am still very weak and tire so easily.  I have started having a very weak back with pain and a weird pulling sensation under my left rib....I'm thinking related to the mS.
Take care all!

Wow...bone marrow biopsy!! I really hope it doesn't come to that. Is there any sort of vitamin or supplement they can give u to build up u'r counts?? I'm sure that's a huge concern, tho, with not knowing what will move quickly and what won't...and what supplements will affect that. I'm praying for u friend and will continue to. I'm soooo glad u'r recovering so well from the colon surg. U have done so much better with this than i expected and i hope and pray u'll do just as well with this anemia and the blood clots. I am worried about the clotting too tho. That seems like a big deal to me. Is there any meds they'll prescribe to control or keep u from clotting?? Please do take it easy...don't push too hard or too much. Take such good care friend and know i'm thinking of u and keeping u in my prayers.

Hi Michelle,
I'm so glad you are doing better!! I remember you saying your blood counts have been low for a while, are they about the same as they have been?  No worse?  You're doing so well with all of this.  Please keep us updated and know that you are very cared about :-)
