Hello all, I'm over from the Ulcerative Colitis board and has a question.  My aunt has MS and I would like your opinions on Probiotics.  Do you use them, why and what kind.  Thanks for your help.
Daughter 5, UC
Pentasa 2X2 daily
Omega 3
Folic Acid 1000mcg.

I treat my MS from an infectious point of view, and because of all the antibiotics that I'm taking need to also use a good probiotic.

I only wish I would've known about the all the good things probiotics do for us; keeping our GI tract healthy.

I can't wait for an answer from your mom's neuro regarding probiotics. They won't hurt us, any of us. Actually, a probiotic will "help" us who still take steroids, and will help those of us who have a yeast problem.

a bit pricey, but she probably can take Theralac a few times a week.

also making her own Kefir is another good healthy way to keep our GI tracts working.

Join us on the lyme forum, lots of us now treating the "cause" of our MS successfully and feeling better.

the best,
