I just got the okay from the MS Society for funding of a cooling vest. I am very excited, problem is that there are so many choices. I was hoping someone could give me some feedback, positive and negative, before I order my vest. What company and style of vest would you reccomend?

I am interested in how you get funding for that.  Willing to share?  I have my girls line up the ice packs that my Copaxone come with, but doesn't make it to easy to move around.  HAHA

Debbie,

You might try the MSAA, they have a cooling program. Check out the link below. If you scroll down the page it has instructions for how to apply.

Welcome Slugger! I’m sorry I don’t have any experience to offer, but hopefully someone will be able to give you a hand with this decision. I took a look and boy there are a ton of options to choose from.

Sunny

HI Debbie and Sunny,

The MSAA has a cooling program which is great if you qualify for their income guidelines. I didn't, but the MS Society has a program that they do to help out with heat issues for the summer like help with utility bills, cooling vests, etc. You decide what you want to use the money on. Call your local chapter for info.

As far as the heat is concerned, I am okay as long as I stay indoors. I am able to keep my house cool enough. It is when I go outside that is tough. I live in the inland San Diego area, so humidity isn't usually a problem, just the dry heat.

Sunny, you aren't kidding there are a lot of vests to choose from. I hope too, that someone would be able to give me some recommendations and insight.
