Vette Guy,
I had read a little about you through this forum. Can you tell me more. My husband has 2 fiscula and a really bad infection in his lower back. He is unable to have surgery because he will have short bowel syndrome. I was really surpised that you had something along the same problem.
He can't have remicade until all the infection is gone. He is going to the bathroom in 3 spots. One is his ileostomy, then a bulb that on his side, and the last one is on his back. I have to empty that one. So if you having any info please let me know.

Hi Dancerpeg,

Sorry to hear about the fistulas. I'm sure your husband's pain has been unbearable. Has he seen a doctor about them? Is he on any type of meds or painkillers?

Yes he is on Pentasa 1000mg 4x a day;Flagyl 500mg 2 x a day, not much on the painkillers but does have vicadin on hand. But did you have something like this? They are talking putting him on TPN to help stop the drainage to slow down. Yes we also see a doctor everyweek because of the piccline he has in because thats what the insurance want for us to get the medicine. Well Happy New Year.
