i use the hollister new image bags, and i keep gettign bad ones!  i got a box a while back and the plastic in the tails tore in two of them within one change!  the first one i got on and went to the store and came back and the plastis was torn, hadn't even empited it once!  the other i emptied once and the next time the plastic was torn.  Well today i open a new box and on every single one in the box the plastic and fabric over the filter are torn.  GRRRR! i had problems like this one other time and called hollister and they replaced them, but they are gonna think i am trying to get free ones if this keeps happening.
also i got a new box of stuff this week and the new hollister new image bags have a new design over the filter, not sure i like it!

When you call them, tell them you'd like to return them directly to the folks that check the quality control... that you'd like them to send you the shipping label. I bet they would want to see what is going on. I wonder if there is a way to tell "lot numbers", like when you buy yarn? If the defects are all within the same lot of bags? Does that make sense?

This is a big thing, and I wouldn't just blow it off. What would happen if a newbie got that box of bags and had horrible leaks? What would that do to their confidence? Please pursue it, Summer. If not for you, do it for others. We know you are not crazy!!!

Shoot, I thought you had another Stomahesive Paste story for us with the title of the post!

hey those things arent cheap! can't u return them? get your money back or something. i would think they would understand as people with ostomies really dont need the trouble or embarrassment of bad bags. Bsides they should take them back realizing that no one would ruin an entire box of bags just to return them! i hope u do pursue it, u should give them a call and let us know what they say

Dang the luck! Well, I'm glad you are going to call and definitely have those lot numbers ready. When I had some defective bags they asked for them. Hope your luck changes!

i called them today, and they are replacing the box that had the ones with the bad tails in them. I just told her that hte first two i put tore really quickly and i wasnt' about to try the rest of them! she said she would send new ones of those. Then i told her about the others, with the tear through the fabric and plastic above the fabric, and she said, that it was supposed to be that way! she said there is a slit, and there is a slit, in all of the bags, but these are NOT slits these are holes. I guess when they cut the slits they cut them too big or they tore or soemthing, so she is sending me a label to return them before she will decide if something is wrong with me. SHe wasn't very nice.

That is so weird! I only use Hollister New Image (bag # 18292 and 18132). I have never had a problem with any of my orders. I usually wear my mini bags for 2 days and my regular sized bags for 4-5 days. I would not hesitate to call Hollister and ask them to send you a return shipping label so that they may get the bags back from you and see the defects for themselves. You never know, Hollister may be aware of these problems already from other people who have used their products.
