hi clyde! long time no speak. hope u and ur mom enjoyed ( thats who u drive with right?) I have the same problem, and my stoma is still shrinking so says the doc. I go thru a few wafers at a time trying to get a good fit. I don't know exactly what u mean when u say it prolonged, but i was reading about
a prolapsed stoma( in the convatec health and vitality magazine)...which is where your stoma kinda slips out. It said that you can lay on ur back and kinda get it to go back in. Is that the case in ur situation?
My nurse came today and wanted to change my bag, which frustrated me b/c she's not even a stoma nurse. She cut the wafer too big and now i know i'll have to change it again, but i have irritation around my stoma site so i'm afraid to keep putting on and peeling off wafers. I hope u find relief
