right after i got my surgery, i started noticing all these people wearing clothes that said hollister on them, and i thought, wow all these people must have ostomies, and they sure are proud of them!  then, a few weeks later, i realized that was a store, that sold clothes!
wow how stupid was that?

I have them way too often!!
Dx'd Crohn's in '99 at 28. Proctocolectomy and ileostomy in '06.
Disease-free, medicine-free, and very thankful to be healthy again :)

LOL! That's too funny. A lot of people wear that brand, and I'm sure many people have tried to go to their website, but got the ostomy site instead!

ce-ce, what i always say is, i wish i was blonde or old, then i would have an excuse, but i'm just dumb!
i do like hollister clothes, though, i'm just too poor for them!

summer! ur not alone! i did it too! its funny the things we notice after our lives change. i didnt realize it was a store either! lol
25 y/o female- crohns disease since 14

Tried asacol,pentasa,prednisone,remicade,6mp,azasan, no avail

My husband is always watching the stock market and there is a commercial for something like an investment firm and it's initials are IBD and they are constantly saying things like "IBD-get more money, IBD-we're looking out for you" and I'm thinking "my IBD-sucks!" hahahaha

Do you remember back in the 80's they had a weight loss drug named AIDS? They had to take it off the market due to the name.

Originally diagnosed with CD in 1991
Only one serious flare up in 1998 and again in July 2007
Total colectomy August 2007 now saying "Undetermined Colitis"
2nd step J-pouch formation -January 2008
Takedown hopefully by April 2008
