I did it! I went on vacation with my ileo. It was no big deal. So nice to be on a flight without UC and the worries THAT always involved. I even went on an off-road 4X4 jeep ride. At first I was really slamming around that poor stoma. Now I know that they really are strong, becasue the seat belt would cut into me pretty darn hard, right on the stoma. It did fine. I eventually put a sweatshirt in between the seatbelt and the little guy, cause I felt sorry for him, getting all baged up like that. LOL. I hiked to some ruins in Sedona, and all the scrambling ovr rocks and stuff was fine, too.
Everything was uneventful, ileostomy-wise. I am so glad to know that traveling is a piece of cake.
As far as Spring Training and Giants Baseball is concerned. BOOOOO! My Giants looked AWFUL. :( So sad.

HA HA HA. Nope - no hot tub. Mostly just because we ran out of time. We didn't even get our pool day in! Too busy running around, I guess.

Dear Jo:

Glad you had a good time Jo! Don't worry about the Gints, Zito has to get better and Linecum's a keeper.

we well be leaving in may for 19 days on a road trip to ga ky and tenn any suggestions on how this baby will react to traveling that far this is my first trip since having a colostomy in nov. of 2006 makes me nuts. cause it sure dont like short trips anyhting i need to avoid to eat or to eat to make it behave.

and now that i found you guys/girls again seems im good at losing things on the computer so im told. my last story was the paste in the hair and the hair dryer.
got a real cute one this time
as we all know if you lose your sense of humor no matter how much or how little u have u can make your self a little crazy so pick up what humor you guys/gals have cause you are in for a laugh here
we go walking with a few friends of ours couple times a week. well we had a good size snow fall awhile back. and we waited a day to go walking and i got tired so i asked hubby n friend to go back and get the car and we would wait and let the dogs play in the snow. then the cell phone goes off its the guys. we cannt find u need to call 911 and send the dogs in fr yous.
well cell goes off again they tell us to start walking the way we were and they would meet us there
well dam cell goes off again and i get them laughing their butts off asking me to open my bag and drop a little every now and a gain so the dogs can sniff us out. if i didnt love the man and his friends i think i woul of killed him.but pay back is a ***** we saw a police car and told him we were lost and asked for a ride home. now its them out there we took the car on them and they walked home and diner was on the table when they got here
got to love humor

Welcome Back!  I love funny stories and I will have to say, yours is pretty funny.  I am still smiling about it.  If my DH were home, I'd have to share that one!

You say you have a colostomy, right?  Does yours have certain times of day it functions more than others?  Can you eat certain foods to slow it down, or avoid certain foods that tend to speed it up?  Just curious.

Diagnosed with CD in 1979, many resections and meds
Perm Ileostomy July 1984 at Cleveland Clinic
Disease free since surgery
