Update on Cece-- I spoke to her earlier this evening and she is in good spirits. She hasn't spoken to her surgeon yet but will (and probably has by now). She said her ostomy was back to functioning. They put a picc line in Tuesday evening so she had TPN for about
12 hours before her surgery. She was getting ready to walk for the first time post surgery right after we spoke. She has a really positive attitude and I expect that she will be out in a few days. She said that the pain she is having from the surgery is pretty bad, but she has a pain pump and is using it!! I told her not to be too brave no matter how bad she wants out of the hospital and to keep the pain at bay for a few days. I can't wait to hear the update after she talks to her surgeon. Just thought you all might like to hear what's going on.
